Box Score Millersville, Pa.- Georgian Court University, playing its second road contest in the past three days, traveled to Millersville University Friday afternoon for non-conference women's lacrosse action. The host-Marauders (1-0), taking the field for the first time in 2017, secured a 13-7 triumph to keep the Lions (0-3) winless on the young campaign.
The home team edged GCU, 5-4, in a tightly-contested first half of competition. Millersville, courtesy of five unanswered tallies over a span of 7:30 in the second stanza, took a 12-5 advantage with 11:37 remaining in regulation to ensure the victory.
Samantha Fernandez, two days after netting five goals at the University of Bridgeport, paced the Lions with four scores on this day. The sizzling sophomore has garnered a team-best 12 goals in just three outing thus far.

Arianna Quinlan, and
Xena Valenzuela also found the back of the net for Georgian Court.
Sabrina Fusco (Jr.-Glen Mills, Pa.) registered a hat trick for the victors to go along with an assist.
Renee Landis (Sr.-Bel Air, Md.) contributed a goal and five helpers for Millersville.
The Lions remain on the road for their next outing as GCU visits Mercy College Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
