Box Score Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University women's lacrosse squad remains undefeated in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) competition as the first-place Lions knocked over Nyack College, 20-6, to improve to 7-0 (8-6) in conference play.
GCU cruised to a 13-3 lead at intermission before coasting to the final horn with a 7-3 advantage in the second stanza.
CACC Co-Player of the Week,
Samantha Fernandez, garnered nine points in the victory with her six goals and three assists.
Arianna Quinlan, the reigning CACC Rookie of the Week, netted five goals to go along with two helpers.
Taylor Bauerband joined the party with four goals and an assist while
Xena Valenzuela ripped two goals and dished three aiders.
Amber Neumann continues to anchor a solid GCU defensive corps as the sophomore net-minder registered nine saves in 43:14 to personally improve to 8-6 between the pipes.
The Lions are now off until Tuesday, March 18 when they take on Post University at 3:30 p.m. GCU will host Senior Day prior to the first draw as the team honors
