Box Score Newark, Del. - The Georgian Court University women's lacrosse squad improved to a perfect 6-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action, while climbing above.500 overall (7-6), with a solid 19-11 triumph at Wilmington University Saturday afternoon.
The Lions have now scored 19 goals in three straight games while scoring 15+ in each of their six straight victories.
GCU and the Wildcats (4-9, 2-4 CACC) were knotted at 4-4 with 13:05 remaining in the first half before the visitors fired home nine unanswered goals to take a 13-4 lead, essentially putting the game out of reach for Wilmington.
The Georgian Court trio of
Taylor Bauerband,
Samantha Fernandez and
Arianna Quinlan poured in four goals apiece for the Lions.
Angelina Palermo registered a hat trick for the Lions while
Nicole Barbella and
Xena Valenzuela grabbed two each.
Amber Neumann wins her sixth straight in the GCU net as the sophomore settled eight saves in the complete game.
Georgian Court goes for seven in a row this Wednesday when they host Nyack College at 3:30 p.m.
