Philadelphia, Pa. - The Georgian Court University men's soccer squad experienced defeat vs.a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) foe for the first time this season as the Jefferson Rams blanked the Lions, 2-0, in Tuesday competition.
The defeat snaps GCU's nine-game unbeaten streak vs. conference opponents (10/8/16 vs. Post) and marks the first time since October 29, 2015 (vs. Wilmington) that the Lions have been blanked by a CACCÂ representative (15 straight games).
The Rams (3-2, 3-0 CACC) grabbed an initial 1-0 lead in the 20th minute (19:09), courtesy of
Myles-Jordan Senior-Campbell's (So.-London, England) second score of the year.
Dillon Abraham (Jr.-Diego Martin, Trinidad & Tobago) collected the insurance tally for Jefferson with his first of the year at the 78:29 mark. Both goals were made possible by the boot of J

Ben Sauer (Sr.-Bel Air, Md.) snared nine saves in the goalkeeper's complete-game shutout of Georgian Court.
Yianni Kavarakas controlled seven saves over 90:00 in net for the Lions. Both teams attempted 16 shots (9 on goal).
GCU (5-2-1, 2-1 CACC) returns to home turf Saturday afternoon with a 2:30 p.m. conference match vs. Felician University.
