North Andover, Mass. - A night after pouring in 18 points in her first collegiate action in almost a full calendar year,
Jada Atchison was back at it again Saturday as the redshirt junior topped all players with 23 more points in Georgian Court University's 97-63 loss to Bentley University (hosted by Merrimack College) Saturday evening.
Atchison shot 8-for-18 from the floor, including a dazzling 5-for-9 from beyond the three-point arc, in 28 total minutes.
Saffiyah Lee also sported a quality showing with her 13 points (6-of-8 FG) in 20 minutes.
Natalija Dubrovina grabbed a game-high eight boards for the Lions in the outing.
The Falcons (2-0) had five players reach double-digits in the victory, led by
Victoria Lux (Sr.-Arundel, Maine) with 17 points on the night.
Megan Lewis (Sr.-Sevenoaks, England) and
Katie Meriggioli (So.-Waunakee, Wis.) contributed 16 and 14 points, respectively, while
Julia Ford (Jr.-Charlton, Mass.) and
Erin Nolan (So.-Binghamton, N.Y.) added 11 apiece.
Georgian Court now looks forward to its 2018-19 home opener when the Lions host Kutztown University Wednesday evening (6:00 p.m.) in the Wellness Center Arena.
