Lakewood, N.J. - Georgian Court University continues to seek its first triumph in women's basketball action as the Lions suffered a 79-56 defeat at the hands of visiting Mercy College Tuesday evening in the GCU Wellness Center Arena.
The loss marks the second straight 79-56 decision for the Lions at home as Kutztown University defeated Georgian Court by the same score last Wednesday. The setback also snaps GCU's modest two-game winning streak vs. the 2-2 Mavericks .

Amber Brown (So.-South Brunswick, N.J.) led the charge for the victors with her game-high 26 points (11-for-17 FG) and team-best seven rebounds.
Destinee Hall (Jr.-Spring Valley, N.Y.) contributed 13 points and five steals in the win.
As for the home team,
Destiny Thompson posted a team-leading 14 points over 21 minutes of action.
Ivona Krakic drained 10 points to go along with her six rebounds and four blocks.
Safiyyah Lee cleared the glass of a game-best 13 boards while dropping in six points of her own.
The Lions (0-5) head to Assumption College in Worchester, Mass. Sunday afternoon for a 1:30 p.m. contest vs. the Greyhounds.
