Worcester, Mass.- Georgian Court University traveled north to New England Sunday afternoon with a visit to Assumption College as the Lions suffered a 86-55 setback to the hometown Greyhounds.
Assumption never trailed in the contest en route to its third win of the year (3-3). The Lions continue to seek their first triumph of the season, falling to 0-6 overall with the loss.
Meghan Cramb (So.-New Boston, N.H.) and
Jordan Hawkins (Sr.-Glen Burnie, Md.) topped the victors with 18 points apiece while
Brianna Capacchione (Jr.-Washington Twp., N.J.) and
Morgan O'Donnell (Sr.-Easton, Mass.) followed with 15 points each.
Destiny Thompson paced the GCU offense with her 17 points while also leading the squad with six boards and four blocks.
Jada Atchison added 16 points for the road team.
The Lions return home to host the University of Bridgeport Saturday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. in non-conference action.
