Lakewood, N.J.- Playing its first-ever Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest since becoming a member prior to this season, the Georgian Court University men's lacrosse squad coasted to its first CACC victory in grand fashion as the Lions dismissed visiting Felician University, 18-3.
The win improves GCU's overall mark to 5-6, while moving to 1-0 in conference play.
Georgian Court netted the game's first seven tallies and registered 10 unanswered goals at one point in a stretch that began at 5:56 of the second quarter before concluding with
Patrick Quinn's third goal of the contest at the 11:40 mark of the fourth frame.
Michael Saladino topped the victors with his five goals and three assists.
Tanner Lee registered four goals and a helper while
Jeffrey Galatola enjoyed a balanced effort consisting of a hat trick and three assists.
Austin Geissel earned his fifth win of the year in the GCU net, collecting four saves in his one half of action (30:00). The Lions owned a 50-17 advantage in the shots column, including a 30-10 margin regarding shots-on-goal.
GCU now looks ahead to Wednesday when they travel to Wilmington University for a 4:00 p.m. conference showdown vs. the Wildcats.
