Lyndhurst, N.J. - Playing its second game in as many days, the Georgian Court University women's lacrosse squad breezed to a 16-2 victory Saturday morning at Felician University as the Lions climbed above the .500 mark at 7-6 and remained undefeated (5-0) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action.
GCU netted the game's first seven scoring efforts, and 12 of the half's 14 goals, to coast into intermission with a 12-2 surplus. The Lions registered the only four goals of the second stanza, ending the contest with seven unanswered tallies.
Taylor Bauerband and
Caroline Keller each provided two goals apiece for the victors while
Nicole Barbella collected a goal and four assists for a team-best five points on the day.
Amber Neumann needed just 9:24 of action to earn her seventh win of the year in the GCU cage as the junior net-minder did not face a single shot.
Georgian Court out-shot the home team, 31-2.
The Lions return home to host Wilmington University this Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in yet another CACCÂ contest.
