Men's Lacrosse Secures Fourth-Straight Victory With 16-5 Win Over Post

Lakewood, N.J. - Georgian Court University collected its fourth-straight victory, and remains undefeated in conference play (3-0), as the Lions put away Post University, 16-5, Tuesday afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's lacrosse action.

The win evens GCU's overall mark at 7-7 while the Eagles dip to 1-11 (0-3 CACC) on the year. The Lions move to 10-0 (including postseason) all-time vs. CACC foes since conference play began at the start of the 2018 campaign.

Leading,7-2 at the intermission, the home team stretched the lead to a seven-goal cushion of 11-4 after three periods of action. GCU went on to outscore the Eagles 5-1 in the fourth-and-final frame to coast to the conference "W".

Randy Collins collected a team-best four goals (and an assist) in the triumph while Brandon Razler registered five helpers and a tally for six total points. P.J. Saracino and Tanner Lee each doubled up in the goals and assists column with two of both apiece.Ryder Verdoni poured in a pair of his own while Daniel Burnham aided on two others.

Brendan Heggers was a force at the face-off, winning 16-of-22 showdowns. Troy Longley registered 10 ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers.

Austin Geissel corralled 19 goals in the win as the junior improves to 7-6 in the GCU net. The Lions owned a 55-35 shot advantage on the day and a slim 32-24 surplus on frame.

Georgian Court closes out the home regular-season slate next Wednesday, April 24 vs. Chestnut Hill in a rematch of the 2018 CACC Championship game. GCU will honor its first-ever four-year senior class in a pregame ceremony. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
