Lakewood, N.J. - In a battle of 7-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference clubs, it would be Georgian Court University that escaped unblemished in CACC play as the Lions muscled their way to a 19-8 victory over visiting Jefferson to provide first-place GCU its eighth-straight win.

The Lions move to 12-4 overall (8-0 CACC) on the season while the Rams drop to 8-5 on the year (7-1 CACC).

Georgian Court opened up a 6-0 surplus less than ten minutes into the contest (9:52) before expanding its lead to 10-2 at the 14:25 mark of the first half. The GCU advantage increased to a game-high margin of 12 with 10:07 to go in regulation when Samantha Fernandez connected on her seventh tally of the contest to make the score 18-6 Lions.

The two-time reigning CACC Player of the Year recorded 10 points in the rout, adding three assists in the showing. Arianna Quinlan contributed four goals and two helpers while Madison Heck netted a hat trick.

Heather Devaney dished three assists to go with a goal. Amanda Marino poured in a pair of tallies while Nicole Barbella added a goal and two aiders.

Georgian Court out-shot its guest, 34-19, which included a 29-15 margin when it came to shots-on-goal.

Amber Neumann bumped up her goalkeeping record to 12-4 on the season with seven saves in the complete-game decision.

GCU closes out the regular-season this Saturday morning when the Lions host Nyack College at 11:00 a.m. Georgian Court will honor its senior class with a special pregame Senior Day ceremony.
