Orangeburg, N.Y. - Second-half goals from Luca Schad and Giovanni Ciocca-Vasino provided Georgian Court University a surplus it would not relinquish as the Lions secured their first triumph of 2019 with a 2-0 defeat of Dominican College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's soccer action.

After a scoreless first half, Schad connected on a Louis Silva indirect kick for the eventual game-winner at 63:11. Ciocca-Vasino added the insurance tally in the 81st-minute (80:34). The goals marked the first collegiate scoring efforts for both second-year players.

Seeing his first action of the season, Jamie Hickey earned the shutout victory in the GCU net as the sophomore shot-stopper compiled three saves over 90 minutes.

The Lions (1-4, 1-0 CACC) now prep for Tuesday when they host #17 Wilmington University in another CACC showdown.
