Kremenovic Pours in 21, Brajac Registers Double-Double, in 91-77 Loss at Dominican

Orangeburg, N.Y. - Andjela Kremenovic netted 21 points, and Nerea Brajac contributed her second double-double of the season, as the duo provided shining performances in an otherwise forgetful afternoon for Georgian Court University as the Lions suffered a 91-77 defeat Sunday at Dominican College in CACC women's hoops action.

Aside from a slim 22-20 advantage after the initial quarter of action, and a 24-22 lead with 8:01 to go in the second, the Lady Chargers (9-10, 7-3 CACC) controlled the contest the entire way. The home team owned a 39-36 edge at intermission before running off on a 21-14 spurt to create a 10-point cushion of 60-50 with 4:36 to go in the third period.

Dominican proceed to close out the frame on a 15-6 tear, securing a 75-56 surplus heading into the fourth-and-final quarter. The Lady Chargers' lead never dipped below double-digits as it climbed to a game-high 20 points (87-67) with 2:19 remaining in regulation.

Taylor Tomlinson (So.-Middletown, N.Y.) and Korina Guerra (Jr.-White Plains, N.Y.) paced the offense for the victors with 32 and 21 points, respectively. Ashley Merritt (Sr.-Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) and Khay'la Latimer (Jr.-Teaneck, N.J.) followed with 14 and 12 points each.

Kremenovic, in her fourth game sporting the royal and gold, topped the Lions with her season-best scoring effort as the freshman shot 8-of-13 from the field. Brajac dropped in 15 points and grabbed team-highs in rebounds (10) and steals (four). Tian Addison added 13 points in 32 minutes off the GCU bench while Leighanna Lister continues to heat up as the sophomore secured 10 points and seven boards.

The Lions (4-13, 2-8 CACC) look to halt its five-game losing streak Wednesday night with a 6:00 p.m. visit to Chestnut Hill College. Georgian Court dropped a 73-67 home decision to the Griffins (7-12, 6-4 CACC) in their previous meeting back on December 3.
