Wilmington, Del.- Goldey-Beacom College never trailed as the Lightning registered a 78-69 home win over visiting Georgian Court University in Saturday's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's basketball divisional action.

After owning a 43-30 advantage at the intermission, GBC increased its surplus to a game-high 20 points when a Juran Ligonde (So.-Boston, Mass.) layup made the score 61-41 Lightning with 9:59 left in regulation. Georgian Court proceeded to make things interesting as the Lions rattled off an impressive 31-8 run and put the road team to within three points (72-69) with just 1:09 to go.

Ligonde highlighted the Lightning offense with his double-double performance of 15 points and 12 rebounds. Kyle Elliot (Jr.-Rahway, N.J.) followed with 14 points while Nazim Derry (Fr.-Atlantic City, N.J.) and Tyler Jones (Jr.-Lawrenceville, N.J.) poured in 12 points apiece.
