P.J. Saracino each garnered four goals apiece as seven different Lions found the back of the net in Georgian Court University's 14-7 non-conference road victory Saturday at The University of the District of Columbia.
After beginning the season with an 0-2 record, GCU has now won its last three outings to improve to 3-2 on the year. The Firebirds slip to 3-4 with the setback.
Trailing by one (5-4) with 4:05 remaining in the first half, Georgian Court proceeded to account for 10 of the game's final 11 scoring efforts to turn its slim deficit into a seven-goal rout. The Lions dominated the shot column, 42-28, and owned a 29-18 edge on frame.
Saracino added two assists to his final ledger to pace GCU with six points in the triumph.
Michael Ventresca hit for a pair of tallies of his own while
Vincent Giunta collected three points (goal, two assists) for the royal and blue.
Austin Geissel registered 10 saves over 55:11 to solidify the senior goalkeeper his third win of the year in the Lions' net.
Georgian Court returns to action Monday with a 3:30 p.m. visit to Saint Thomas Aquinas College this Monday afternoon.
