Lakewood, N.J.- Georgian Court University improved to 9-3 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) divisional competition (18-6 overall) as the Lions dismissed the Devils of USciences, 3-1, Thursday evening in the Wellness Center.
After the two squads split the opening stanzas, 25-19, 23-25, Georgian Court proceeded to sweep the final pair by scores of 25-23 and 25-17 to secure the crucial conference victory. USciences slides to 4-11 (4-8 CACC) with the setback.
Kinsy Haschke continues her torrid stretch as the reigning CACC Player of the Week recorded her fifth-straight double-double performance (13th of season) with 17 kills and 12 digs.
Grace Fenn blasted 14 kills of her own with a sizzling .481 hitting percentage.
Nylene Mateo added 10 kills in the effort.
Trilby Kite dished a match-best 32 helpers while
Faith Bennett contributed 16 assists and nine digs.
Jessica Sprankle dominated the digs department, leading all players with 26 on the night.
Georgian Court takes to the road for its next contest, a 7:00 p.m. CACCÂ visit to Nyack College in Jersey City, N.J. this Saturday night.
