Lakewood, N.J. - Trailing by five points (47-42) heading into the final frame, Adelphi University sparked a fourth-quarter rally to double-up Georgian Court, 16-8, in the stanza as the visiting Panthers clawed their way to a 58-55 non-conference road win Sunday afternoon vs. the host-Lions.

GCU (2-3) owned a game-high seven-point surplus in the third period (47-40) as a pair of Leighanna Lister free throws capped a modest 4-0 spurt for the Lions with 0:42 left. Georgian Court returned to a seven-point cushion early in the fourth when Lister nailed another pair from the charity stripe to make the score 49-42 with 9:08 left in regulation.

The Panthers (2-3) proceeded to pounce with an instant 14-2 push to take a commanding 56-51 advantage with 4:12 remaining on the clock. Hanna Thrainsdottir's put-back lay-in with 2:22 to go placed GCU within just one (56-55), but subsequent single free throws from Emily Miccile (Gr.-Wrentham, Mass.) and Korina Guerra (Gr.-White Plains, N.Y.) at 0:40 and 0:19, respectively, secured the outcome.

The aforementioned Miccile topped all players with 19 points (8-for-15 FG) in 28 minutes, complementing her eight rebounds. Guerra also snagged eight boards while dropping in 13 points in 34 minutes. Kaitlyn O'Connell (Fr.-Essex, Mass.) connected on a pair of three-pointers (10 points total) in 33 minutes off the Adelphi bench.

Despite the result, Lister authored a sensational stat line as the senior collected 18 points, 12 rebounds, and three rejections in 36 minutes, good enough for her second-straight double-double performance. Lister was scalding from the floor, hitting 6-of-10 field-goal attempts and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line.

Anyssa Fields, now averaging a team-best 21.6 points-per-game, also contributed a double-double for the Lions as the sophomore submitted an effort of 13 points, 11 boards, and a pair of blocks (38 minutes). Erica Aspajo finished with 14 points and six thefts in 39 minutes of action. Thrainsdottir proved to be a defensive force with eight rebounds and four blocks.

Georgian Court takes to the road this Wednesday to begin Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action as the Lions visit divisional foe, Goldey-Beacom College at 6:00 p.m.
