Kryshell Gordy (Sr.-Chester, Pa.) layup a the 00:32 mark kicked off a 14-0 Lincoln run that would not conclude until a
Bryanna Brown (Sr.-New York, N.Y.) jumper sliced the visitor deficit to just three points (38-35) at 6:40 in the third quarter. The host-Lions bent, but would not break, as te royal-and-gold held strong to take a 50-46 surplus into the fourth-and-final frame.
Lincoln (6-3) would experience its first lead of the night at 8:03 in the fourth when a
Jeana Weatherspoon (Jr.-Columbus, Ohio) three-point play put the Lions up by one at 53-52. After a pair of subsequent lead changes and stalemates, a successful
Jade Young (Jr.-Philadelphia, Pa.) jumper with 1:45 left snapped a 65-65 tie and launched a game-clinching, 5-0 spurt to seal the improbable comeback for Lincoln.
Brown bested all players with 19 points in the victory, followed by Weatherspoon (18 points) and Young (12). Gordy grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds and secured three steals in her 14 total minutes of play.
Erika Aspajo contributed 39 minutes of action for Georgian Court, depositing a team-best 18 points, five assists, and three steals.
Leighanna Lister recorded her team-leading third double-double in the effort with 14 points and 12 boards in 33 minutes off the bench.
Tian Addison drained a game-best five three-pointers en route to a 17-point night.
