Lakewood, N.J. - Georgian Court University is just one win away from repeating as CACC champions for the first time since winning four-straight (2006-09) as the top-ranked Lions eliminated #5 Felician University Thursday evening, 3-0, in a semifinals sweep.
The Lions now look ahead to Saturday at 3:00 p.m. when the royal-and-blue hosts #2 Holy Family University in the 2021 Spring CACC Championship Tournament title game., marking the second-consecutive season the rivals will face off in the winner-takes-all event. The Tigers advance to Lakewood after defeating #3 Concordia College, 3-0, in the night's other semifinal showdown.
GCU made quick work of the visiting Golden Falcons with straight-set scores of 25-21, 25-17, and 25-15, ending Felician's season at 2-6.
Nahomie Alejandro Negron enjoyed a standout performance with a perfect nine-for-nine on the attack (1.000 hitting average), to go along with six blocking assists and three helpers.
Grace Fenn matched her mate with nine kills of her own in the victory.
Faith Bennett added yet another double-double to her ledger (5th of season) as the junior compiled 17 assists and 10 digs in the effort.
Paula Cespedes anchored the Lions' back line with her team-best 11 digs.
Trilby Kite contributed 11 assists while
Aubrey Binkley floored four service aces and three blocking assists.

Katie Asbery (Sr.-Mililani, Hawaii) topped all players with her 10 kills.
Miquela Martinez (So.-Santa Fe, N.M.) concluded her season with a double-double consisting of match-highs in assists (21) and digs (12).
