Lakewood, N.J. - 21 days after closing out the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schedule with trip to the conference championship game vs. Holy Family University, Georgian Court University returned to the floor Saturday evening vs. The College of Saint Rose (NE-10) to continue the bizarro spring season of 2021.
In a contest that counts towards both squad's records, the Lions made quick work of the Golden Knights, blanking their guest, 3-0, in a match that required just 1:05 to complete. The victors coasted with wins of 25-19, 25-10, 25-18 to improve to 9-3 overall. Saint Rose, in only its second match, falls to 0-2.
All-Conference selection,
Kinsy Haschke, continues to play sensational volleyball as the junior thwarted Saint Rose with 14 kills and a .481 hitting percentage.
Nylene Mateo followed by slugging 10 kills of her own in the rout.
Faith Bennett, also an All-Conference pick, registered a double-double with 10 assists and 10 digs.
Trilby Kite dished 15 helpers for the Lions while
Jessica Sprankle controlled 10 digs and garnered eight assists.Â
Grace Fenn, patrolling the net, tallied four blocking assists. Kite and
Nahomie Alejandro Negron collected three apiece.
