Lakewood, N.J. - In a contest that was circled on both squads' calendars for months, Georgian Court University hosted rival-Jefferson Wednesday afternoon in a battle of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference "undefeateds".

As was the case for the sixth-straight outing, the host-Lions came away with the win, routing the Rams 15-5, as GCU extends its victory streak to 39-straight vs. CACC foes (including postseason). Georgian Court has outscored Jefferson, 104-44, over the last six showdowns.

It got late early for the Rams as Georgian Court opened the affair with an immediate 4-0 surplus and a dominating 11-2 advantage at the half. With the outcome well in hand, the eventual victors edged its guest, 4-3, in the second stanza. The Lions owned a 28-18 shot advantage in the effort.

Five members of the royal and gold recorded four or more points on the day. Shaine Sauter led all players with four goals and two assists. Heather Devaney fired in four tallies for the Lions, followed by Riley O'Connor with three goals and a helper. Sabrina Chandler and Amanda Marino each had a pair of goals and assists. Chandler also topped the team with eight draw controls.

Alexis Hahn, the two-time reigning CACC Goalkeeper of the Week, improves to 9-2 in the GCU net as the sophomore turned away seven attempts in the complete game.

The Lions (9-2, 6-0 CACC) concluded the regular season Saturday morning with a 10:00 a.m. road game at Caldwell University.
