Georgian Court Punches Ticket to Fourth-Straight Women's Lacrosse Title Game as Lions Knock Off #4 Post, 17-5

Lakewood, N.J. - Georgian Court University is now knocking on the door to its fourth-consecutive (sixth-overall) Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference crown as the Lions sent #4 Post University packing, 17-5, in Friday's CACC Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament semifinals contest.

The win pushes GCU's record to 11-2 overall as the top-seed Lions await the winner of this afternoon's #2 Jefferson/#3 Wilmington University winner. The title game is slated for this Sunday at 1pm on the Lions' Lakewood campus.

The royal-and-gold wasted no time on the offensive end as the Lions opened the match with four-straight goals, while securing 10 of the game's first 11, to take a healthy 10-1 lead at the 7:22 mark of the first half. Coming out of the break owning an 11-2 cushion, the home team doubled up the Eagles, 6-3, in the second stanza to roll to its 41st consecutive victory vs. CACC foes (including postseason).

Madison Heck provided a big-time effort for the victors as the junior recorded two goals, four assists, and a game-high eight draw controls in the victory. Sabrina Chandler added four goals, a helper, and five draws for the Lions. Riley O'Connor ripped four tallies, followed by Shaine Sauter with a hat trick and a helper. Amanda Marino collected a pair of goals and assists, complemented with three caused turnovers. Morgan Dinse also contributed two assists for the Lions.

Alexa Hahn, the newly-crowned CACC Goalkeeper of the Year, grabbed five saves in the complete-game, improving the sophomore's personal ledger to 11-2 on the season.
