Women's Soccer Wraps Up Week at Dominican

LAKEWOOD, N.J. (Oct. 20, 2022) - With just two matches left, Georgian Court is in the final stretch of the regular season. They finish up with two conference games beginning Friday morning.

Previously vs. Dominican
• In dramatic fashion Georgian Court upset No. 1 seed Dominican last season in the quarterfinals of the CACC Tournament.
• 110 minutes weren't enough as the game ended in penalty kicks, 5-4 in favor of GCU. 
• Georgian Court got on the board in the first half on another penalty kick. Aliya Canfield connected for a 1-0 lead.
• Dominican answered in the second near the 60 minute mark. The two teams then play 50 minutes of scoreless soccer the rest of the way.
Alyssa Dias made nine stops for the Lions. 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court played Wednesday afternoon in their final nonconference match of the season.
• On Staten Island, the Lions and Dolphins played to a 1-1 draw.
• The Dolphins scored first in the 57th minute after a scoreless first half.
• Just 33 seconds later Aliya Canfield tied it with an assist from Abby Kennelly.

• Krystal Hund has four goals and nine points in 10 games played.
• Abby Kennelly has four assists in her last seven matches and is coming off a two-goal game last Saturday.

Individual Milestones
• Krystal Hund scored her 40th career goal, fifth most all-time at GCU. She needs three more to get to fourth place. She's also one point shy of 100.
• Alyssa Dias needs two more saves to get into the Georgian Court all-time top-five as well. 
• Aliya Canfield needs two more points to get to 40 for her career. 

Lions in the CACC
• Alyssa Dias is fourth in the league in saves with 74.
• Dias is also tied for fourth with four total shutouts. 
• Georgian Court's five shutouts are tied for the third most in the conference.
Abby Kennelly is ninth in the league with her four assists.
Aliya Canfield's five goals rank her 15th. 

About Dominican
• This season Dominican is 6-6-2 and 4-5-1 in the CACC.
• The Chargers have been much better on the road this season. They are just 1-3-2 at home. 
• Dominican gets a lot of mileage out of Kaitlyn Zeeb and Isabella Wysocki. Zeeb leads the team with 10 goals scored and 23 points, just outside the CACC top-five in both.
• Wysocki is tied for the conference lead with 12 assists and has taken 60 shots.
• Alissa Madura is also in double-figure points with 11 and four goals scored.
• Stella Paton has gotten the bulk of the work at goalkeeper. She's started nine matches and has 38 saves with a .679 save percentage.
• Dominican has both scored and allowed 23 goals this season.
