Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. - Georgian Court University, playing the last of a brutal season-opening non-conference slate, traveled to Mercy College Wednesday afternoon where the Lions dropped a 16-4 decision to the #12 Mavericks.

Nine different players scored goals in the Mercy (4-2) triumph, led by Briana Corace (Gr.-Mahopac, N.Y.) and her four tallies. Taylor Bishop (Sr.-West Milford, N.J.) recorded five points with a hat trick and a pair of helpers. Sabrina Chandler (two goals), Kasha Elzinga, and Shaine Sauter accounted for the GCU scoring.

Madeline Garvalosa (Sr.-Seaford, N.Y.) snagged five saves over 30:00 to earn the victory in the Mercy net. Alexis Hahn grabbed six of her own in the complete-game effort for the Lions.

Mired in a seven-game losing streak , Georgian Court (1-7) opens the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) slate this Saturday with a morning contest (11:00 a.m.) at Post University (Waterbury, Conn.).
