Business as Usual for Women's Lacrosse as Lions Keep Conference Win Streak Alive With 21-2 Victory at Nyack

Jersey City, N.J. - Accounting for the first 17 tallies of the game, Georgian Court University had no problem putting away Nyack College Tuesday night, 21-2, as the Lions improve to 2-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play (3-7 overall) while extending their winning streak vs. CACC foes to 44-straight (including postseason).

Improving to 10-0 all-time vs. Nyack, GCU has outscored its opponent, 39-5, over its first two conference contests of the season. Tuesday's 21-goal outburst marks the most by the royal-and-gold since netting 20 in a 20-8 victory at Caldwell University last May (5/1/21).

12 different Lions found the back of the net in the rout. Riley O'Connor led the pack with her six points, which included two goals and four helpers. Shaine Sauter (four goals, assist) and Heather Devaney (three goals, two assists) followed with five points apiece. Sabrina Chandler (three goals), Jade Rivera (two goals, assist), and Isabel Raimondi (goal, two assists) contributed three points each.

The Warriors (0-3, 0-1 CACC) were only able to get four shots off the entire contest as the Lions dominated with a 52-4 shot margin. The victors cleaned up the turf as well with 27 ground balls, compared to six total grounders for the home team.

Remi Reinhardt accounted for six ground balls and three caused turnovers on the defensive end. Alexis Hahn needed just one save to earn the keeper her third win of the season (60:00).

The Lions returns home to host aforementioned Caldwell Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. for another CACC clash.
