Tallen Smith recorded a career-high 11 points, and Georgian Court University netted a season-best 20 goals, as the Lions doubled up visiting Felician University, 20-10, Saturday in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's lacrosse action.
The royal-and-gold owned a healthy 18-1 advantage after three periods of play. The Golden Falcons (5-7, 1-4 CACC) picked the fourth frame to soar as Felician outscored the home team by a 9-2 margin over the final 15:00 of the contest.
Smith netted four goals and distributed seven helpers for the victors to lead all players.
James Sanford added two scoring efforts and four assists while
Devin Bell buried four tallies and pocketed an aider of his own for five points. The Lions connected on four man-up opportunities and outshot the Golden Falcons 57-40 (37-26 on frame).
Robert Grasso (R-So., Islip, N.Y.) accounted for seven of Felician's 10 scores.
Andrew Candino moves to 2-1 on the season as the GCU keeper collected nine saves in 40:16 of action.
The Lions (5-9, 2-2 CACC) now settle into an 11-day hiatus as Georgian Court does not return to competition until Tuesday, April 20 (7:00 p.m.) for a highly-anticipated CACC showdown at Chestnut Hill College.
