Soccer Road Trip Continues at Wilmington

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Oct. 23, 2023) - Georgian Court Men's Soccer enjoyed a weekend off, but begin the final stretch of their season tomorrow afternoon.

Previously vs. Wilmington
• After dropping the first four games of the series, things have been much more even of late.
• Overall Wilmington holds a 4-7 all-time record against the Lions, but in the last seven matches, GCU is 4-3.
• Last season in Lakewood, the Wildcats scored the first three goals in a 3-1 win.
• Joseph Ficarotta had the only goal for the Lions.
• Wilmington led 1-0 at the break following a goal in the 33rd minute. They pushed it to two very early, less than two minutes into the second half.

About Wilmington
• Before losing at Caldwell over the weekend, Wilmington had been one of the hottest teams in the CACC. They had been 5-0-1 in their last six matches.
• Overall Wilmington is 6-5-3 this season and 4-3-1 in the CACC.
• Their 13 points has them sitting fifth in the league standings.
• The Wildcats are not afraid to shoot the ball. They average nearly 21 shots per game which leads all of Division II. Their 9.07 shots on goal per game is fourth most in D2.
