LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 18, 2023) - Georgian Court Women's Lacrosse put up three touchdowns in their home opening and CACC opening win Saturday afternoon against Felician. The Lions pitched a first-half shutout and scored at least three goals in all four periods en route to a 21-3 drubbing of the Golden Falcons. The win snaps a four-game losing streak and puts GCU at 2-5 this year and 1-0 in conference play.
How it Happened
• Georgian Court was on offense for much of the afternoon. They attempted 41 shots, putting 28 on net with 21 goals. Felician totaled 13 shots, 11 of which hit the cage.
• GCU did a good job holding onto the ball. They turned it over just 10 times while Felician lost it 23.
• On the ground, the Lions were the quicker team, picking up 24 ground balls to Felician's five.
• The Lions hung a six-spot on the board in the opening quarter. Five different Lions scored with
Ashley Pringle,
Caitlin Petrellese,
Riley O'Connor and
Isabel Raimondi each tallying one and
Alyssa Wahl netting two.

Alexis Hahn was a wall in net. She didn't allow a goal in the first half and came away with six saves. Hahn came out after 30 minutes so she finished her day with a 1.000% save percentage.
• It the second, it was more Lion offense. Raimondi and Wahl each picked up hat tricks. O'Connor added another goal and
Kasha Elzinga scored twice as the Lions led 13-0 at the half.
• The GCU shutout bid was broken early in the third quarter when Julia Ravazza scored the Golden Falcons first goal.
• Raimondi picked up two more goals in the third period and O'Connor added another.
• Ravazza scored again for Felician to start the fourth, but the Lions finished the game scoring the final five goals including
Kate Clemente's first at Georgian Court.

Isabel Raimondi scored six goals while adding three assists, two caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Alyssa Wahl also totaled nine points with four goals and five helpers.

Riley O'Connor lit the lamp five times on six shots. She won five draw controls as well.

• The Lions have now won 47 consecutive CACC games dating back to 2016.
• Georgian Court's 21 goals are their most in a game this season and the three allowed are the fewest.
