MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (March 8, 2023) - Georgian Court Women's Lacrosse suffered it's third straight road loss Tuesday evening. The Lions traveled to Millersville, Pa. to take on the Marauders out of the PSAC and fell 14-10 to drop to 1-4 to start the season.
How it Happened
• Shots were mostly even but favored Millersville 29-26. Shots on goal were also in favor of the Marauders, 24-21.
• Neither team had any issue clearing the ball into the offensive zone. Georgian Court turned the ball over 18 times to the Marauders 16.
• Millersville picked up 22 ground balls to the Lions 17.
• With the advantage, Georgian Court scored once while Millersville was held scoreless.
• The Lions got out to a fast start with a pair of goals less than 90 seconds in.
Remi Reinhardt scored just 12 seconds into the game and
Alyssa Wahl made it 2-0.
• With the advantage,
Riley O'Connor made it a 3-1 game just 4:32 into the game. The Lions though didn't score the rest of the first period and early in the second, Millersville tied things at three.
• Not long after the Marauders tied things, O'Connor put the Lions back on top. She scored two more to put GCU ahead 5-3.
• Millersville answered scoring three straight to take their first lead, 6-5. With less than a minute to play in the half,
Kasha Elzinga tied things at six. It looked like that's how the half would play out, but Millersville found the back of the net once more to take a 7-6 lead into the break.

Isabel Raimondi tied things again at seven, but Millersville took the lead for good with back-to-back goals. Raimondi netted another to bring GCU back within one, 10-9, but the Marauders scored four straight and locked in defensively for the 14-10 win.
