CALDWELL, NJ (April 15, 2023) - If you slept late, you might have missed Georgian Court Women's Lacrosse scoring another 20 goals in a 20-6 win over Caldwell. That's because the Lions and Cougars got underway at 10 a.m. The early start time wasn't a problem for the Lions as they scored at least 20 goals this season for the fourth time this season and move to 8-6 on the year and 6-1 in the CACC.
How it Happened
• Georgian Court controlled play getting off more than three-times as many shots as Caldwell, 41-13.
• GCU put 34 of those 41 shots on goal and scored 21 times.
• The Lions won 21-of-31 draw controls to get their offense jump started.
• Caldwell had issues holding onto the ball losing it 18 times to the Lions five. Georgian Court also scooped 23 ground balls to the Cougars eight. Â
First Half
• The early morning didn't bother the Lions who jumped out of the gates to score nine first period goals.
• GCU scored the first three getting goals from
Remi Reinhardt,
Riley O'Connor and
Alyssa Wahl.
• Caldwell scored their first, but O'Connor and Reinhardt each added another and
Isabel Raimondi joined the party with her first.
• Closing out the first, O'Connor and Reinhardt put their third tallies on the board and
Kasha Elzinga added one for a 9-2 lead after 15 minutes.
•
Alyssa Wahl scored back-to-back in the first 91 seconds of the second quarter as the Lions went into double-figure goals.
• Wahl finished with three in the second quarter, two on free-position shots. O'Connor and Raimondi also scored for a 14-3 GCU lead at the half.
Second Half
• Georgian Court poured on four more in the third quarter. Reinhardt scored two more times and Wahl and Raimondi with a free-position, player-advantage goal each scored once.
• The Lions were happy to run out the clock in the fourth quarter. But not before
Talysa Jimenez scored her second career goal and first since the 2021 season.

Natalie Moradian was put back in net to start the second half and finished the game in the cage.Â
• In the closing minutes, O'Connor and Reinhardt each scored one more time to get the Lions over 20 goals for the game.Â
Lion Stat Leaders
•
Alyssa Wahl scored five goals and added three assists. She was 2-2 on free-position shots.
•
Isabel Raimondi also totaled eight points with three goals and five assists.Â
•
Remi Reinhardt scored a game-high six goals. She came down with six draw controls as well with a game-high four ground balls.

Riley O'Connor added five goals with five draw controls.
•
Caitlin Petrellese won nine draw controls.
•
Kasha Elzinga and
Talysa Jimenez each scored once.
•
Alexis Hahn got the win. She wasn't tested all that often making two saves.
For the Cougars
• Madison Ellis scored three goals with an assist.
• Kelsey Maxwell added two goals.
• Megan Molinelli scored once.
• In goal, Sarahkate Schneider made nine saves.
