Kelsey Naclerio was selected to the First Team on defense while attackers
Riley O'Connor and
Alyssa Wahl made the Second Team. This is the first All-Region selection for all three. Interestingly enough, all three All-Region selections made the All-CACC Second Team.
Naclerio is now a three-time All-Conference selection and an All-Regoin performer. She leads the Lions defense with 44 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers. She's in the top-10 in the league in both categories and ranks sixth in caused turnovers per game. In 12 games this season Naclerio has picked up at least two ground balls. O'Connor leads the Lions offense with 72 goals this season, third most in the CACC and eighth in the country. She's also chipped in eight assists with 56 draw controls, 22 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers. O'Connor is scoring on 58.3% of all free-position shots which is also fourth in the league. She's the only player in the league to average more than four goals per game and more than three draw controls per game. O'Connor scored her 100th career goal earlier this season and finished her career with 143 career goals.Â
The leading point scorer for Georgian Court,Â
Alyssa Wahl makes the All-Region Second Team. Wahl finished the season with 107 points totaling 60 goals and 47 assists. She's just the fourth Lion to ever score 100 points in a season. Wahl is the only player in the CACC to be in the top-five in goals and assists this year. Her 5.63 points per game rank seventh in all of Division II. She is one of just three players in the country to be in the top-30 in both goals and assists. Additionally Wahl has picked up 16 ground balls, won 15 draw controls and caused seven turnovers. She's scored multiple points in 17 of 19 games and two or more goals in 15.Â
