Volleyball Starts CACC Play Tomorrow vs. Goldey-Beacom

Previously vs. Goldey-Beacom
• All-time against Goldey-Beacom, Georgian Court is 29-11 since 2002. 
• The Lions have won eight straight against the Lightning, including twice last year.
• Playing at home, Georgian Court is 14-6 since 2002.
• GCU played the Lightning last year on senior night. It was a 3-0 sweep for the Lions who outscored GBC 60-30 and doubled them in kills as well, 40-20. Their .303 attack percentage was their highest in a match all last season.
• Nylene Mateo hit .500 with 17 kills and just two errors. She also added three service aces and 11 digs.

• Georgian Court has already had three CACC Athletes of the Week. Iciar Zayas was the most recent Setter of thte Week. Dayna Diaz and Nylene Mateo each earned an award after the first week of play. 
• Zayas has 20+ assists in three straight matches and led GCU with nine digs at Kutztown. 
• Mateo has hit .300 in three of her first six matches this season. 
• Giorgia Cappelletti hit .452 against STAC with a season-high 14 kills. She also has at least nine digs in three of her last four matches
• Chelsea Ross has exactly four blocks in four of her first six games this season. She hit at least .400 with 10 kills Friday in her two matches.

• With 15 service aces, Nylene Mateo leads the league. She's also third in kills per set at 3.36 and second with 4.18 points per set. 
• At 8.08 assists per set, Iciar Zayas is second in league. She's one of just two setters averaging more than eight assists per set. 
• Jessica Sprankle is in the league's top-10 in digs with her 3.00 digs per set.
• Giorgia Cappelletti is eighth in the league with 3.16 points per set. 
• Georgian Court is leading the league this season thus far hitting .210. The only team with an attack percentage greater than .200.
• The Lions also lead the league scoring 15.4 points per set and are third with 10.95 kills per set.

• Jessica Sprankle needs one more service ace to get into the Lions all-time top-10.
• Nylene Mateo will get into the Lions top-10 in kills with just 17 more. She's also 13 points away from 1,000. 
• Ava Venneri is 19 digs shy of 200.
• Amiyah Woods will hit 300 career points with six more. 
• Dayna Diaz needs 12 digs to get to 100 and 14 assists to reach 200.

About Goldey-Beacom
• Goldey-Beacom is still looking for their first set win of 2023. They're 0-4 having been swept in all four matches.
