Women's Soccer Wraps Up Week With CACC Opener

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Sept. 15, 2023) - Georgian Court Women's Soccer kicks off CACC play this weekend in Lakewood.

Previously vs. Dominican 
• Georgian Court has a long history with the Chargers. This is their 45th all-time meeting. 
• The Lions lead the series 31-11-2.
• After a nine-match unbeaten streak, the Lions only win in the last four matches came in a CACC postseason shootout.
• Last year, GCU fell 3-0 in Orangeburg.
• Dominican scored in the 43rd minute, right before the half for a 1-0 lead. They added a pair of late goals.
• GCU was outshot 24-10. Dominican was also issued five yellow cards. 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court scored their first official goals of the season, but played to a 3-3 draw with the College of Staten Island.
• GCU led 3-1 at the half, but the Dolphins scored twice in the second half to come away with a tie.
Aliya Canfield, Abby Kennelly and Chiamaka Wokocha all scored for the Lions.
