Men's Basketball Continues Road Swing At Dominican

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Jan. 12, 2024) - Georgian Court Men's Basketball wraps up this week with another CACC road contest Sunday afternoon.

Previously vs. Dominican
• Georgian Court is still seeking their first ever win against Dominican.
• The Lions are 0-11 lifetime against the Chargers and 0-6 on the road.
• Last year, the Lions nearly got the job done in Lakewood. Dominican overcame a six-point halftime deficit to take a late second half lead.
• The Lions tied getting a three from Shane Williams, a steal, and a layup from Titus Beard at the buzzer to force overtime. 
• In the low-scoring overtime period, GCU scored on their first possession and then were scoreless the final 4:08 of OT. Dominican made a layup with 21 seconds for the lead and the Lions last attempt at a three was off the mark and Dominican extended their winning streak against the Lions. 
Shane Williams led the Lions scoring 14 with Clint Wright, Jr. and Jamaal Waters also in double-figures.

• Georgian Court's offense went quiet late in the first half against Jefferson allowing the Rams to take a 43-26 lead at the half.
• In the second, GCU crawled to within five, but couldn't get any closer as Jefferson put the game away 76-64.
• Justin Harper led GCU scoring 15 points and going 7-9 overall with four rebounds.
• Clint Wright, Jr. added 13 with five rebounds.
• Cameron Edmonds was also in double-figures with 10 points.
• Anthony Rivera scored six with six rebounds and three assists.

• Clint Wright, Jr. is shooting 56% his last two games and 46% from three. 
• Cameron Edmonds is averaging more than 17 points per game in his last three contests. 
• Justin Harper has double-figure points in four of his last five games and is shooting 59.1% over that span.

• Clint Wright, Jr. continues his assault on the GCU record books. He's one more made field goal from fourth all-time at GCU and nine shy of third.
• Nearing 100 points this season are Amari Jones (97), and Taheen Braswell Brown (96).
Hassan Jackson is one point away from 150 in his career. 

About Dominican
• Dominican enters Sunday's game on a three-game slide and haven't won since the final days of December.
• Despite their 9-5 record, the Chargers are just 1-3 in CACC games.
• At home this season, Dominican is playing to a 5-1 record.
• One of the things Dominican is best at is forcing turnovers. They turn teams over more than 22 times per game, fourth-most in Division II. 
• The high-powered Charger offense is scoring 89.4 points per game this season which leads the CACC and is 14th nationally.
