Women's Lacrosse Starts Home Slate Saturday vs. Gannon

Previously vs. Gannon
• This will be the first ever meeting between these two teams. 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court kicked off their season, albeit a day late, with a win at Shepherd.
• After a snowstorm pushed the game back a day, GCU used a strong second quarter to lead them to a 14-12 win.
• It wasn't easy though, as the Lions got down 4-0 early.
• The Lions were able to take the lead in the second, outscoring the Rams 6-1 in the frame.
• Shepherd came back and it was a one-goal game late in the fourth, 13-12. Riley O'Connor tacked on an insurance goal and the Lions held on for the win. 

CACC Leaders
• Through one game, Isabel Raimondi and Riley O'Connor are tied for the CACC lead in points with seven.
Remi Reinhardt's 11 draw controls per game also lead the league.
• Georgian Court is first in the CACC in scoring offense and scoring defense.
• They also have the most assists with eight which is just outside the top-20 nationally. 
• GCU was successful on 82.4% of their clearance attempts against Shepherd which leads the conference. 

Who's Hot?
Isabel Raimondi was named the CACC Player of the Week after scoring five goals and seven points.
• Freshman Bryleigh Tejchman was the Rookie of the Week after she started her career with a pair of goals and three points.
Remi Reinhardt was the CACC Defensive Player of the Week with her 11 draw controls and three ground balls.
Riley O'Connor scored four goals and also picked up a team-best three assists.
Natalie Moradian picked up a win in her first career start making seven saves. 

Individual Milestones
• Riley O'Connor needs three goals to get to 150 and six to move to fifth all-time at GCU. Two more points will also put her in the Lions top-10 for points. 
• Kasha Elzinga will get to 30 ground balls with one more. 
Isabel Raimondi is two assists away from 75 which will also put her sixth in Lions history. 
Remi Reinhardt needs one assist to get to 25. 

About the Opponent
Gannon Golden Knights

• This will be the first game of the year for Gannon who last year finished 4-13 and 4-8 in league play.
• The Golden Knights return leading scorers McKenna Woodworth and Caroline Stevens. They each scored 34 goals last season.
• Haleigh Manning also returns in net for Gannon. She finished with 118 saves and was an All-PSAC selection. 
• A former CACC foe, Madyson Schwartz, a transfer from Chestnut Hill is on the Gannon roster.
