Women's Lacrosse Is On the Move at Southern Connecticut

LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 8, 2024) - Georgian Court Women's Lacrosse is on the road to finish out the week at Southern Connecticut.

Previously vs. Southern Connecticut
• It's been more than a decade since Georgian Court and Southern Connecticut have met on the lacrosse field.
• Nearly 14 years to the day, March 8, 2010 was their first and only meeting, a 15-3 win for the Lions.
• GCU led 9-0 at the half and Lauren Conaty totaled five goals. 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court came out on the short-side of a one-goal game this week against Bloomsburg.
• Playing in nonstop rain, the Lions fell 11-10 to the Huskies.
• Bloomsburg used a 6-1 run to take the lead midway through the third and never looked back.
• Trailing by two, GCU got to within one with 1:54 to play, but Bloomsburg defense held up on the Lions final possession.

• Caitlin Petrellese has scored in back-to-back games and picked up five ground balls vs. Bloomsburg.
