• This is the first ever meeting between these opponents

Previously vs. Jefferson
• In the first 12 matches of this CACC rivalry, each teams has six wins.
• The teams have traded wins each of the past five seasons.
• Playing on the road at Jefferson, the Lions are just 1-4.
• Last year at home, the Lions got a late penalty kick goal from Mathias Madersbacher to break a scoreless tie.
• Fabio Krissler earned the shutout making five saves.

• The Lions fell behind early in their home opener against St. Thomas Aquinas.

CACC Leaders
• Gijs van Eif is in the top-10 in the CACC in both goals and points per game through two games.
• With his nine saves against Bentley, Sotirios Gkosdis is seventh in the league in total saves. 
• His fellow netminder, Ayendi Batista, is seventh in the CACC in goals against average. 
• The Lions are getting to the corner a lot. With five corner kicks per game, GCU ranks second in the conference. 

Who's Hot?
• Alessandro Cavallini scored for GCU against STAC.
• Gijs van Eif has a team-best nine total shots.

Scheduling Quirks
• Georgian Court starts 2024 on the road for seven of their first nine games. They are currently in the midst of a brief two game homestand finishing up on Monday.
• After the game with CSI, the Lions won't be home again until Oct. 5. 
• They then play home in six of the final nine including a span playing six of seven at home.
• GCU will also have the luxury of welcoming the top teams in the CACC to Lakewood as the Lions host each of the top-four teams in the poll

About Staten Island
• Staten Island is 0-2 thus far this season with a pair of one-goal losses.
• CSI lost at home to Assumption and dropped a 1-0 game to Bloomfield.
• Miguel Espinosa has both goals scored for CSI this season and nine of their 27 total shots.

• Jefferson was picked one spot ahead of Georgian Court in the preseason coaches poll.

• A large majority of those 14 goals came in a 10-1 win over Virginia State.
• The Rams have also defeated Shippensburg 3-0 and tied with West Chester 1-1 as they start the year 2-0-1.
• TJ Hibsman and Diego Guzman each have four goals on the season while Hibsman also has an assist.
• John Nelson has started all three games in goal and played all by 10 minutes between the pipes. He's made nine saves wit ha .818 save percentage and 0.69 goals against average.
