#5 GCU Lions At #4 Wilmington Tigers For First Round of Playoffs

WILMINGTON, DEL. (Nov.8, 2025) - Georgian Court Women's Soccer gets started with the CACC Tournament this Saturday. The Lions earned the #5 seed and will face the #4 seed Wilmington.

Previously vs. Wilmington
• The last time the two teams faced off, it ended in a tie. 
• Going into halftime, Wilmington had a 2-0 lead from goals from Claudia Gillum and Sierra Bartley. 
• 35 seconds into the game, Julia Eichenbaum gave the Lions their first goal. Three minutes after Eichenbaum's goal, Gabby Kelsey tied the game for the Lions. 
• With 10 minutes remaining in the game , Evelyn Payne gave the Tigers a lead.

 The Lions are 32-18-2 all-time in the CACC Tournament.
• In 20 seasons under head coach Jim Moore, the Lions have advanced to the semifinals in 16 of their 17 postseason appearances. 
• The Lions have won nine CACC Tournaments in their history, three at the NCAA Division II level. Those three Division II CACC Titles came in 2008, 2010 and 2017. In 2017 they became the first CACC team to ever finish 15-0, going 12-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the postseason.
• Under Moore, the Lions have made the CACC Tournament 17 times in 19 possible years (There was no CACC Tournament in 2020 due to COVID-19).
