Lions Fall in CACC Playoffs as Wilmington Advances

Wilmington(Del). (Nov. 8th, 2025) -  The fifth-seeded Lions traveled to Wilmington(Del.) to face the fourth-seeded Wilmington Wildcats. Wilmington broke through in the second half, scoring twice to secure a 2–0 victory over the Lions

How it Happened
• Wilmington outshot GCU 6-0 in the first 45 minutes. 
• The Lions managed two corner kicks in the first half but were unable to generate a shot on goal.
• Wilmington earned four first-half corner kicks but couldn't capitalize on them.
• Going into the half, both teams were scoreless. 
•The Wildcats struck quickly after halftime. In the 47th minute, Sophia Filipowki's corner found Eboni Bradshaw, who converted with a header to put Wilmington on top 1–0.
• Georgian Court responded with improved offensive pressure in the second half, tallying six shots to equal Wilmington's output. 
• The score stayed 1-0 for the next 30 minutes, neither team finding the back of the net. 
•Wilmington doubled its advantage later in the half when Sierra Bartley scored on a fast break.
• Georgian Court's best chance came from freshman Gabby Kelsey, who sent a low corner shot toward goal but was saved by Arianna Myers. 
• Wilmington held its lead for the remainder of the game, giving them a 2-0 win.
