Smithfield, RI (Dec.19th, 2025) - The Lions faced a tough challenge against Division I Bryant University, falling 94–26.
How it Happened
• Bryant built its lead behind two 29-point quarters.
• GCU only scored 10 points in the second half.
• The Lions shot 15.6% in the game.
First Half
• Niyell McCargo and Imani Gillette were the only Lions to score in the first quarter.
• The Bulldogs finished the opening quarter with a 17-6 lead.
• In the second quarter, the Lions capitalized at the foul line, scoring eight of their 10 points on free throws.
• Bryant had a 31-point second quarter, shooting 64% as a team.
• Going into halftime, the Lions were trailing 16-48.
Second Half
• In the third quarter, the Lions would only score five points, three of those being free throws.
• Bryant would keep the Lions scoreless for the last six minutes of the third.
• Bryant widened the gap and again held the Lions to just five points.
