West Long Branch, NJ. (Dec.29, 2025) - The Lions stayed in their home state of New Jersey and faced Division I Monmouth, falling 40-74.
1st Quarter
•It was a slow start for both teams in West Long Branch on Monday night, as neither scored in the first three minutes of the game.
• Alexis Davis scored the first four points of the game for the Hawks.
• Imani Gillette then matched that with four points for the Lions.
• Layups from multiple Hawks players helped extend the lead to 10 by the end of the first quarter.
2nd Quarter
• Niyell McCargo took over in the second quarter for the Lions. Eight of the ten Lions Points were from McCargo.
• Gigi Gamble needed to be stopped for the Hawks. She had 14 points in the second quarter.
