Flushing, NY (Dec.31st, 2025) - Georgian Court Women's Basketball closed out the calendar year on a high note, defeating Queens College on the final day of the year.
First Half
• The opening quarter was tightly contested, as the two teams went back and forth.
• The momentum shifted in the second quarter when the Lions went on a 12-0 unanswered run.
• Queens opened the second quarter with a basket 30 seconds in, but was held scoreless until six minutes remained in the period.
• After Queens finally broke their scoring drought, Amyah Bray hit two back-to-back threes for the Lions.
• Queens closed the half on a 10-3 run in the final two minutes but still trailed by 12 at halftime.
Second Half
• In the third quarter, the Lions outscored Queens 15-7.
• Queens struggled from the offensive end in the third, shooting 13% from the floor.
• The final quarter was the most back and forth of the game, but it wasn't nearly enough for Queens to complete the comeback.
• Imani Gillette scored 10 of her 14 points of the game in the last quarter.
• Georgian Court won 76-53.
