LAKEWOOD, NJ (Feb. 22, 2025) - Georgian Court Women's Lacrosse had a major test on their hands with No. 18 Bentley Saturday afternoon. The Lions weren't able to rebound from a slow start and fell to the Falcons 15-6.
How it Happened
• Bentley was the superior team on the draw winning 15-24.
• The Lions also had a difficult time clearing the ball, converting just 16-23 while Bentley was 20-22.
• The Falcons finished with 34 total shots to the Lions 23.
• On the ground, Bentley scooped up 25 ground balls and GCU 18.
• The Falcons put away all three free-position shots and the Lions were just 2-7.
• Georgian Court committed two penalties and gave up one woman-up goal. The Lions were 0-3 on their three power plays.
1st Quarter
• Georgian Court actually notched the first tally of the game with
Isabel Raimondi scoring on a free-position goal 40 seconds into the game.
• Not long after, Raimondi had another FPA, but looked to pass instead of taking a shot.
• After the Lions missed out on that free-position opportunity, Bentley scored nine straight to finish off the quarter.
• Maeve Johnson and Amanda Davis each scored four in the first alone.
2nd Quarter
• Bentley started the second with three straight, bringing their run to 12-0.

Gabrielle Battle ended that with a goal, the Lions only of the quarter and GCU trailed by 10, 12-2.
3rd Quarter
• The third quarter was defense heavy with only one goal scored between the teams.

Natalie Moradian made three saves and didn't allow a goal the entire frame.
•
Isabel Raimondi scored for GCU, her second of the game.
4th Quarter
• Bentley rattled off two early in the fourth to get back to a running clock at 14-3.

Caitlin Petrellese then took control scoring three times in less than two minutes.
• The Lions never threatened the lead though and the Falcons scored another for a 15-6 final.

Caitlin Petrellese scored three goals with three draw controls.

Jill Konschak picked up five ground balls, won three draws and caused three turnovers.

• Ashlee Wargo got the win in goal allowing just three goals and making four saves.
• Maeve Johnson scored six goals.
• Natalia Dutkewych scored twice with two assists and three draw controls.
• Caitlin Keenan passed out three assists and scored.
