SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (Feb. 26, 2025) - Georgian Court Women's Lacrosse dropped their third straight game Wednesday afternoon. The Lions went to PSAC foe Shippensburg where they were doubled up, 16-8.
How it Happened
• The Lions struggled holding onto the ball. They came away winning 15-of-28 draws, but were still down in shots, 31-23.
• GCU turned the ball over 22 times while forcing just 13.
• Clearing the ball wasn't the problem for GCU who was 15-19. The Raiders successfully cleared 19-23.
• Georgian Court also had the edge on the ground, 21-17.
• GCU converted just 2-6 free-position shots, while Shippensburg was 4-6.
• There was nearly enough cards to make a full deck. Officials called 17 cards, but just four on the Lions.
• Despite just committing four of the 17 penalties, GCU gave up three goals playing shorthanded.
• The Lions capitalized for three extra-woman goals, while also conceding one while playing woman-up.
1st Quarter
• The Lions got the scoring started as Shippensburg took a green card just 21 seconds into the game.

Isabel Raimondi capitalized and GCU had a 1-0 lead less than a minute in.
• Following the lead, GCU surrendered three consecutive goals as the Raiders took a 3-1 lead.

Gabrielle Battle scored another extra-woman goal and with two seconds to play in the period,
Jill Konschak tied the game at three.
2nd Quarter
• The Lions momentum didn't carry into the second quarter though.
• Shippensburg scored three straight, two on the power play to go back up by three, 6-3.
• Raimondi netted her second with two minutes left to play, but the GCU defense gave up two more, including one with just 17 seconds to play in the half.
• The Raiders led by four at the break, 8-4.
3rd Quarter
• It took just 35 seconds for Shippensburg to get on the board in the second half.

Isabel Raimondi answered, but GCU then allowed two goals in just 10 seconds.
• Raimondi scored all three Lion goals in the third.
• Shippensburg added another with six seconds left and led 13-7 through three.
4th Quarter
• Shippensburg continued to pour it on in the fourth, scoring the first two in the frame.

Caitlin Petrellese got one with 36 seconds left for GCU.
• The Raiders, instead of just running the clock out, scored again with 17 seconds to play to bring the final total to 16-8.

Isabel Raimondi scored four goals with two assists. She also grabbed three groundballs.

Caitlin Petrellese scored twice and won a team-best six draw controls.
•
Nena Menard won five draws and grabbed four groundballs.

Jill Konschak and

For the Raiders
• Kayla Vosburg was was the winner between the pipes making nine saves.Â
• Sara Vosburg did the scoring with five goals and three assists along with three caused turnovers.
• Maddie Phommachanh added four goals on six shots.
• Grace DeMarzio won five draw controls and caused three turnovers.
News and Notes
• All four quarters saw a goal scored in the final 20 seconds, three by Shippensburg.
• Georgian Court has scored first in three of four games this season, but won only one of them.
• The Lions have dropped three straight to Shippensburg and now trail the all-time series, 5-3.

Isabel Raimondi moved into the Lions all-time top-10 in career goals and moved to fourth in career points.
