NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 24, 2025) - Georgian Court Women's Lacrosse saw their offense explode for a 25-goal performance in their CACC opening win at Caldwell. But it was a player who stood out on defense enough to earn the CACC Defensive Player of the Week.

Caitlin Petrellese did a bit of everything for the Lions Saturday in their win at Caldwell. It started on the draw where she won a game-high nine to give the Lions plenty of possessions. She also caused two turnovers and picked up three ground balls.

It was all defense for the Bardonia, NY native. She scored five times and added an assist, setting a new career-high with six points. 

Georgian Court plays twice this week. It starts at home Wednesday, March 26 against Chestnut Hill at 2 pm.
