LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 26, 2025) - For the fourth time this season, Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse took on a ranked opponent. The challenging schedule hopes to pay off down the line in conference play, but the Lions fell to 0-4 against ranked opponents, and 5-5 on the season in their 12-4 loss to Molloy.
How it Happened
• Molloy's defense was the story. They clogged shooting lanes, made passing difficult, and goaltender Christian Michaels was an excellent last line of defense.
• Georgian Court got off just 24 shots compared to Molloy's 46.
• Molloy was shooting wildly with 25 going on net. GCU put 18-of-24 on target.
• Faceoff numbers were even at 10 apiece.
• Turnover numbers were also close. GCU lost the ball 21 times and Molloy 19. Molloy was 28-30 on clears while GCU was just 20-27.
• There were only three penalties called, two on Molloy, one on GCU and no man-up goals were scored.
1st Quarter
• Molloy didn't waste much time scoring just 67 seconds into the game.
• Molloy scored three times in the first 10 minutes before the goaltenders started matching saves.
• Christian Michaels made four saves in the quarter and
Vincent Burkhart three.
• It looked like the period would end 3-0, but with just two seconds left, Molloy tallied another and took a 4-0 lead through 15 minutes.
2nd Quarter
• There was only one goal scored in the second. Molloy made it 5-0 with 5:14 to play in the half.
• Burkhart did all he could to keep Georgian Court in the game making six saves.
• Michaels smothered everything too with another four stops in the second.
3rd Quarter
• Molloy slowly continued to add to their lead.
• While no two goals came in quick succession, Molloy did score four times in the period.
• GCU in danger of being blanked through three quarters finally broke through with 42 seconds left to play.

Harrison Jordan found
James Sanford on the doorstep and he buried GCU's first goal of the game.
• Just 32 seconds later, GCU scored again as
Brodie Seaborn found the back of the net and it was 9-2 heading to the fourth.
4th Quarter
• After five scoreless minutes,
Brett Bridges scored the Lions third goal in a row off a feed from
Matt Dorrian.
• Dorrian then scored himself later in the period.
• GCU was never able to get back to within six and Molloy scored twice more in the final four minutes for a 12-4 win.

• GCU falls to 3-7 all-time against Molloy.
• This was the Lions first home game in a month after a five-game road trip, the longest in program history.
• This was the Lions final nonconference game of the season. They finish the year at 3-5 against teams outside the CACC.
