ORANGEBURG, NY (March 29, 2025) - Georgian Court and Dominican were both unbeaten in the CACC entering Saturday, but the Chargers handed the Lions their first league loss, 21-5.
How it Happened
• On the draw, Dominican won 18-of-27.
• The Chargers were also the better team on the ground grabbing nine ground balls to the Lions nine.
• Dominican limited turnovers to just 14 while the Lions lost the ball 21 times.
• The Chargers totaled 40 shots to Georgian Court's 13. GCU managed just six shots on goal while the Chargers put 28 on target.
• The Lions were 3-5 on free-position shots and Dominican 3-9.Â
1st Quarter
• Dominican scored the first three goals of the game in less than four minutes.
• GCU got one back from
Jill Konschak.
• After more than five scoreless minutes, Dominican scored twice more to take a 5-1 lead.Â

Nena Menard scored with 90 seconds to play, but just before the quarter ended, Dominican added another to lead 6-2.
2nd Quarter
• The Chargers put five more on the board in the second.
• They scored the first three in the quarter in just 2:20.
• Things settled down after that before a flurry to finish the half.Â

Nena Menard scored her second at the 2:50 mark.
• Dominican answered just 44 seconds later and then scored a power play goal with 1:32 left and led 11-3 at the break.
3rd Quarter
• Dominican really pulled ahead in the third.
• They outscored GCU 7-0 in the frame, all seven unassisted.
• With three seconds left, Dominican hit the extra point to make it a 7-0 quarter and an 18-3 lead.
4th Quarter
• The Lions added two in the fourth.

Nena Menard scored her third and
Gabrielle Battle scored in the final minute.
• Dominican scored three times themselves to get over the 20-goal mark and finished at 21.

• Madelyn Grella had three goals and three assists.
• Erica Ortiz won 11 draws.
• Jenna Rigo caused seven turnovers and picked up five ground balls.
