Women's Lacrosse Puts On Dominant Performance on Senior Day

LAKEWOOD, NJ (April 12, 2025) - Georgian Court Women's Lacrosse played their final home regular season game of 2025. They hosted Felician for Senior Day and had another great offensive day scoring 21 goals in a win over the Golden Falcons. The win put the Lions back over .500 in CACC play at 4-3.

How it Happened
• Georgian Court was excellent in all aspects of the game. They won 19-of-24 draw controls and controlled possession much of the game.
• Those extra possessions led the Lions to a 34-10 shot advantage and 22-5 shots on goal.
• Turnover numbers were close with Felician turning it over 14 times and the Lions 12. GCU was 12-13 on clear attempts and Felician 7-13.
• There was just one penalty in the game, a yellow card on Felician.
1st Quarter
• Georgian Court wasted little time getting the party started. Gabrielle Battle scored the first goal just 65 seconds into the game.
• A minute later it was Isabel Raimondi scoring and Caitlin Petrellese made it 3-0 with 10:16 to play in the first.
• Raimondi scored another and Nena Menard converted a free-position shot for a 5-0 lead.
• The Lions scored five more times in the final 3:18. Raimondi and Petrellese each scored twice and Nena Menard a second time in the frame with just 11 seconds left to put GCU up 10-0 and start the running clock. 
2nd Quarter
• It took just 19 seconds for the Lions to score to start the second. Jill Konschak got in on the action with her first of the game.
• Felician finally got on the board scoring a free-position goal and then the scoring dried up.
• Neither team scored until Petrellese added another with 2:34 left in the half.
• That was the final goal of the half and GCU led at the break, 12-1.
3rd Quarter
• All the second half scoring was done by the Lions. Raimondi started it off with two goals in the third.
• She then started racking up the assists dishing to Konschak, Petrellese and Gabrielle Battle who all finished for a 17-1 lead.
4th Quarter
• Raimondi added her eighth assist of the day early in the fourth as Emily Smith hit pay dirt. 
• Moving up to offense was senior defender Madison Battle who picked up a loose ball and scored.
• Gabrielle Battle and Petrellese each scored to finish off the 21-1 win.

Lion Stat Leaders
• Isabel Raimondi scored 14 points with six goals and eight assists.
• Caitlin Petrellese scored six times as well with four ground balls, three caused turnovers and three draw controls.
• Gabrielle Battle added three goals and an assist.
• Nena Menard scored twice and won 10 draw controls.
• Jill Konschak totaled two goals and five draw controls.
• Natalie Moradian and Cadence each made two saves.

For the Golden Falcons
• Eva Moreland had the lone goal along with three ground balls.
• Jessica Naoum made seven saves.
• Nicole Jenal caused two turnovers.

News and Notes
• Madison Battle scored her first career goal.
• Caitlin Petrellese surpassed 100 career ground balls.
• Cadence Gentile earned her 10th win.
• Nena Menard's 10 draw controls are the most by a Lion this season.
• Isabel Raimondi's 14 points are a new single-game high.
• Jill Konschak secured her 50th draw control.

• Georgian Court finishes the regular season with two on the road starting Friday, April 18 as GCU takes on Bridgeport at 2 pm.
