Game Two Shutout Gets Georgian Court Split With Dominican

LAKEWOOD, NJ (April 17, 2025) - As has often been the case this season, it was a tale of two different games in a doubleheader Thursday with Dominican. The Lions were shutdown offensively in game one, and struggled to limit damage in a 9-3 loss. They flipped the script in game two with timely hits and excellent pitching in a 7-0 win. The split puts Georgian Court at 7-9 in the CACC.

Game 2 - Georgian Court 7, Dominican 0

• Georgian Court put the first five batters on base in the first inning and saw four runners cross the plate.
• It started with an infield single from Kaylin Curro. She scored on Ella Moore's RBI single to right.
• Two batters later with the bases loaded, Brooklyn Ragland was first-pitch swinging and cleared the bases with a double just inside the third base bag for a 4-0 Lion lead after one.
• GCU added two more in the third and again it was Ragland. She knocked a base hit to score Ella Moore. Later in the inning it was Kristy Regalado singling to score Ragland as the Lions went up 6-0.
• The Lions put another on the board in the fourth. Curro started it with a double and a pair of productive outs brought her in for a 7-0 lead.
• Dominican got two in scoring position in the fifth, but Janelle Blaszka coaxed a ground ball to end the inning and keep the 7-0 lead in tact which is how the game ended.
