Women's Lacrosse Finishes Regular Season at Holy Family

LAKEWOOD, NJ (April 22, 2025) - Georgian Court Women's Lacrosse has just one more game left in the regular season and it's a big one, with lots of playoff implications.

Previously vs. Holy Family
• At one point, Holy Family led the all-time series 9-7.
• But Georgian Court has won 10 straight over the Tigers and now lead 17-9.
• During that 10-game winning streak, GCU has outscored the Tigers 184-56. They've allowed 10 goals just once and scored at least 15 in all 10 games.
• It includes postseason wins as well in 2023 and 2024.
• Last season, Georgian Court defeated Holy Family 20-8 in the regular season and 20-4 in the postseason.
• That postseason game saw the Lions shutout the Tigers in the second half, 10-0.
Gianna Nardini scored a game-high five goals. Isabel Raimondi totaled six points. 

Last Time Out 
• Georgian Court clinched a spot in the CACC Tournament with a win at Bridgeport.
• The Lions got down early, 3-1 and 5-3, but went into the half tied at seven.
• GCU scored three to start the third quarter and never trailed again, outscoring the Purple Knights 11-6 in the second half of an 18-13 win.
Isabel Raimondi and Gabrielle Battle each scored four goals.
Natalie Moradian entered midway through the second quarter to make eight saves and get the win.

Individual Milestones 
• Michaela Scirrotto needs one point for 30. 
• Caitlin Petrellese is one point away from 75.
• Isabel Raimondi with one regular season game left is on program record watch for most points. She needs two more to break the record. She also needs 14 more assists for that record as well. 
• Madison Battle is three caused turnovers away from 50.
Natalie Moradian is eight saves away from 200. 
Gabrielle Battle needs one goal for 30. 

Who's Hot?  
• Caitlin Petrellese continues to fill the stat sheet. She has at least three goals in four straight games with 20 draw controls, 14 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers in that span.
• Isabel Raimondi has 35 points in her last four games. 
• Madison Battle has a ground ball in five straight games and four caused turnovers in her last two. 
• Gabrielle Battle has 11 goals in her last four.

CACC Leaders
• Isabel Raimondi is in the top five in goals, assists and points. 
• Caitlin Petrellese is four in draw controls.
• Petrellese is also seventh in goals scored and tied for second in ground balls. 
• Nena Menard is fourth in the league in free-position percentage. 
• GCU's ranks fifth in scoring offense.
• They're third in draw control percentage.

CACC Postseason Watch
• At 5-3, Georgian Court is currently tied with Holy Family for fourth in the CACC standings. 
• The top six teams all make the postseason with the top-two receiving byes to the semifinals.
• While both teams are in, they'll play a rematch in the CACC Opening Round this Saturday, April 26.
• Wednesday's winner will be the host of the playoff game. 

About the Opponent 
Holy Family Tigers
• It's been an interesting season for Holy Family, who has also clinched a spot in the CACC Tournament.
• They've beat up on the lower teams in the CACC, but haven't gained much traction on the top-tier teams.
• They're 6-8 overall and 5-3 in the CACC, playing to a 3-2 home record.
• The Tigers are fourth in the league in draw control percentage. They're also third in fewest turnovers per game.
• Rianna Shields leads the team with 41 goals and 19 assists.
• Defensively, Payton Pugh and Tori Wolstenholme have combined for 51 caused turnovers, 61 ground balls and 98 draw controls.
• Nicole Wiser has seen the most action in goal starting 10 of 14 games, but has just a .267 save percentage. Tiger goaltenders are saving just 30% of all shots on net this season.
